We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lay Pastor to join our team at St Mark’s Haydock, with a specific focus on overseeing and leading our youth, and supporting our children’s ministries. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to discipling the next generation and helping them deepen their faith in Jesus.

As the Lay Pastor for Youth and Children, you will be responsible for developing and promoting a culture where young people can encounter God and grow as disciples of Christ. This will involve:
The ideal candidate will be a passionate disciple of Jesus, with strong biblical knowledge and the ability to communicate the faith effectively with children and young people. They will have recent experience in leading youth work in a church context and be a committed, active member of a Christian church for at least the last 3 years.

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from the Real Living Wage for those with less experience to a higher rate for those with 3 or more years of primary youth work experience and a relevant qualification. Additionally, we provide a generous holiday allowance, a pension scheme, and other benefits.

As the Church Operations & Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the church’s day-to-day activities and administrative functions.
